Latchi is a quiet harbour village, and romance here means the sea at dusk, a private boat and a table by the water. There are no nightclubs and no nightlife venues, so evenings are slow and mostly spent over dinner.

Sunset on the water

Cyprus Mini Cruises runs a sunset barbecue cruise on the Nafsika II from 16:00 until sunset. The sunset view is over the bay. Sailings are cancelled in strong wind, so keep a second evening free. The main season runs roughly from May to October.

A private boat

For two people, a private charter avoids the crowd that gathers in the lagoon at midday in July and August. Booking-site prices give an idea of the range. Private boats with Cyprus Mini Cruises start at about EUR 460 and run up to about EUR 1,300, a private Akamas trip with Latchi Dive and Watersports is listed from about EUR 550, and sail or yacht charters with Latchi Charters start from about EUR 695. Confirm what is included, from skipper to drinks, before you book.

If you want to drive yourselves, George’s Boat Hire lists an Eco Line boat at about EUR 180 for four hours and larger boats from about EUR 360 to EUR 595. Latchi Watersports Centre asks for a car driving licence and a hirer over 21. The operator checks your licence and briefs you, so confirm the rules when you book. An early start avoids the midday crowd in the lagoon.

Dinner at the harbour

Old stone carob warehouses on the quay have been turned into restaurants. Porto Latchi Restaurant and Fish Tavern, Faros Fish Tavern, Psaropoulos Fish Tavern, Restomare and Yiangos and Peter (Y&P) Fish Tavern all serve fish by the water. A fish meze for two or more is the usual order. Hours can lapse out of season, so check opening times in winter.

A quiet walk

The Baths of Aphrodite are a short drive west of the harbour, with a grotto pool and botanical garden at the start of the Aphrodite and Adonis trails. Visitors are asked not to swim or wade, so come for the walk and the garden. The garden is free to enter. Go early or late in summer, because midday heat is severe.

Beach time

Latchi beach beside the harbour is sand and pebbles, with showers, toilets and sunbeds. Polis Municipal Beach, a few minutes east, is a Blue Flag beach in 2026. Check lifeguard hours before you settle in.
