Latchi Boat Tours and Akamas Excursions
Tours in Latchi mean boats. The harbour is the departure point for Blue Lagoon cruises along the Akamas coast, and nearly every other organised excursion in the area is a land tour that starts in Paphos or Coral Bay. The notes below cover who sails, what the sailings include and what to check before you pay.
Cyprus Mini Cruises
Cyprus Mini Cruises runs two named boats. The Nafsika II sails a morning cruise at about 10:15 to 12:45 and an afternoon cruise at about 13:00 to 15:30, with fruit, local wine and orange squash on board. A sunset barbecue cruise leaves at 16:00 and returns at sunset. The Koulla makes a four-hour cruise from about 10:30 to 14:30 with a Cypriot barbecue. The company also offers private boats, and its phone number is +357 99 302 879. The operator’s own website gives no prices, but booking sites list shared trips from about EUR 15 and the barbecue trip from about EUR 20, with Nafsika II shown at EUR 25 per adult on one platform.
Alkion glass-bottom boat
The Alkion II ticket office is at the harbour, and the boat runs glass-bottom tours to the Blue Lagoon. A glass panel adds a little interest on the way, but reviewers say the swim stop is the real draw, so treat the glass as a bonus. Water slide and drinks packages appear in listings for this boat, so read what your ticket includes.
Other sailings
Paphos Sea Cruises sails from both Paphos and Latchi, and Latchi Queen is another harbour boat. Shared cruises last 2.5 to 3 hours in total and the sea leg is about 30 to 45 minutes each way. Several boats often anchor together in the lagoon at midday in July and August, so an early or late sailing is quieter. Sailings run mainly from May to October and can be cancelled for wind.
Combination tours
Booking sites sell combined days that pair the Baths of Aphrodite with the Blue Lagoon, usually by bus or boat from Paphos. From Latchi itself you can do the same thing independently: take the morning boat, then drive, taxi or ride bus 622 to the Baths for a short walk.
Guided 4x4 safaris
Four-wheel-drive Akamas safaris run mostly from Paphos and Coral Bay, and prices vary by operator. The track beyond the Baths of Aphrodite is rough with exposed drops, and most rental contracts exclude unpaved roads, so a guided vehicle is the safer way to reach Fontana Amorosa and the Blue Lagoon by land. Avakas Gorge is closed to visitors, so check the Forestry Department before any tour that claims to include it.
Booking tips
Check the departure time, what is included and the cancellation terms on the operator’s own page, because times and prices change. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a towel, and wear shoes you can take off easily on deck.
