Suva and Pacific Harbour in Three Days
What Multi-Day Travel Looks Like Here
Central Division has no set multi-day tour circuits, so the practical approach is to base yourself in Suva and Pacific Harbour and add a night on Beqa or in the Namosi Highlands. The plan below uses only places that operate today. Allow time for transfers, because Suva to Pacific Harbour alone is about 45 to 60 minutes by road. Prices are in Fijian dollars (FJ$), and no total cost is given here because stays and packages are quoted by the operators.
A Three-Day Plan
Day 1, Suva. Start at the Fiji Museum in Thurston Gardens, open 09:00 to 16:30 daily, then browse Suva Municipal Market, closed Sunday, and finish at the Grand Pacific Hotel on Victoria Parade.
Day 2, Pacific Harbour. Take the Queens Road west and choose between a Navua River tour with Discover Fiji Tours and a full day of Upper Navua rafting with Rivers Fiji, about FJ$440 to 460.
Day 3, Beqa. Certified divers can book the Beqa Adventure Divers shark dive from about FJ$545 with levy and fuel, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Others can snorkel for FJ$100 or visit through a resort, with boats from Pacific Harbour.
Beqa Lagoon Resort
Beqa Lagoon Resort stands on Beqa Island, which has no roads or cars. The resort runs dive packages, and Beqa firewalking is staged there. Contact it for rates and boat transfers.
Royal Davui Island Resort
Royal Davui is a luxury resort on Ugaga Island in Beqa Lagoon, about 8 acres with 16 villas. Guests must be 16 or over. Rates start from about USD 900 a night, and the resort can arrange transfers.
Namosi Eco Retreat
This village-run, off-grid retreat at Navunikabi on the Luva River has 10 refurbished bures, powered by solar energy, and reopened in 2022. It is about 2 hours by road from Suva, and guests cross the river on foot. Walks and horse riding are available; confirm tours directly.

Coming from Nadi
Suva is about 197 km and 3.5 to 4 hours from Nadi by Queens Road coach with Sunbeam or Pacific Transport. Check the operator for fares, and check Fiji Airways for Nadi to Nausori flights. Levuka on Ovalau is in the Eastern Division, about 4 to 4.5 hours each way by bus and ferry, so treat it as a separate stay if you want it.
Season and Cost
Cyclone season normally runs 1 November to 30 April, though cyclones can occur at any time. Heavy rain on the windward side can close roads and delay boats. VAT is 12.5 percent, and a 5 percent Tourism Services Tax may be added to larger operators’ prices from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
