San Juan Attraction Tours and Ticket Prices
San Juan’s guided attractions fall into four groups: rum and food tours around the harbour, a zip line in the mountains, kayak and boat days on the east coast, and ticketed visits to a rainforest centre. Prices are in US dollars, and many operators add Puerto Rico’s 11.5% sales tax at checkout. Hurricane season runs from 1 June to 30 November, so book flexible dates if you travel in the peak months of August to October.
Casa Bacardí tours in Cataño
Casa Bacardí is open daily from 10:30am to 7pm and closed on major holidays. Six tours are listed, all plus tax: the Legacy Tour at $40 (50 minutes), The Maestro’s Walk at $80 (90 minutes), the Mixology Class at $80 (75 minutes), the Founder’s Experience at $125 (120 minutes), a Spanish-language tour at $65 (45 minutes) and Bottle Your Own at $195 (15 minutes). Every tour is for guests aged 18 and over; under-18s can only use the pavilion, store and food area with an adult. Reservations are recommended and changes are free up to 24 hours ahead. Check the Casa Bacardí page for current times. The Cataño ferry from Pier 2 in Old San Juan costs about $0.50 each way, though that fare is worth confirming, and a taxi or shuttle covers the last stretch.

Bioluminescent bay and island boat days
Laguna Grande near Fajardo is a guided kayak tour of about 2 hours, from about $70 per person with Kayaking Puerto Rico or $59 plus a $3 fee and tax with Pure Adventure. Swimming is not allowed. Mosquito Bay on Vieques is reached by ferry from Ceiba or a small plane and needs an overnight stay. East Island Excursions lists half-day boat trips with snorkelling from Fajardo, from about $110 for Icacos to $170 for a Culebra trip, with about an hour of travel each way. Confirm what is included before you pay, and expect weather to change the destination.
