Multi-Day Stays in St. Moritz by Season
A stay of several days in St. Moritz is easiest to plan by season, because lifts, museums and events open and close on fixed dates. The two plans below use only attractions that are running in their season. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and dates are for 2026 and early 2027.
Summer plan, May to October
Summer is the season for lifts, trains and lakes. A good three-day shape is one mountain day, one rail day and one slow day.
- Mountain day: ride to Corvatsch (adult return CHF 64) or Diavolezza (CHF 46). Diavolezza runs daily until 15 November 2026.
- Rail day: take the Bernina line to Tirano in Italy, about 2 h 15 min to 2 h 30 min each way. Bring a passport or ID card.
- Slow day: ride the Muottas Muragl funicular (CHF 42.50 return), which runs until 23:00 in season, and eat with the sunset view. Add the Lake Sils boat between Sils Maria and Maloja, about 40 minutes.
The Mountain Railways Included offer gave guests at over 100 partner hotels and holiday flats rides on 13 lifts from the second night. It ran from 1 May to 31 October 2026, and dates for 2027 have not been announced. Whether it also covers buses or the Rhaetian Railway depends on the hotel. The offer details are on the MySwitzerland page .
Winter plan, late November to March
Winter has a tighter calendar.
- From 27 November 2026: Corviglia opens early for season-pass holders, and the main start follows about a day later.
- From 4 December 2026: Corvatsch Snow Night runs on Friday evenings.
- From 22 December 2026: the Olympia Bob Run offers guest rides at CHF 269 per person, to early or mid March.
- Mid-December: the Cresta Run opens, with beginner practice sessions booked online.
- 22 to 24 January 2027: the Snow Polo World Cup is played on the frozen Lake St. Moritz.
- 7, 14 and 21 February 2027: White Turf racing days on the lake, with family days on 6, 13 and 20 February.
- 14 March 2027: the Engadin Skimarathon.
Lake events depend on the ice, so stay on marked routes and follow any closures.
Museums by season
Plan indoor days only when the venues are open. The Segantini Museum reopens on 10 December 2026 and runs to 12 April, the Museum Engiadinais reopens on 6 December 2026, and the Berry Museum starts its winter season on 14 December 2026. All three are closed in late October and November.
Between seasons
From the end of October to late November, most lifts and museums are closed or about to reopen. OVAVERVA in St. Moritz Bad is open all year and the Bernina line keeps running, so a short stay then centres on rail and walking.
