Family Days Out in St. Moritz
St. Moritz works best for families when each day matches the season and the age of the youngest child. The town has an indoor pool complex that is open all year, a public sled run in winter, a floodlit piste on Friday nights and a free glacier trail in summer. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).
OVAVERVA in St. Moritz Bad
OVAVERVA is the public pool and spa complex at Via Mezdi 17, in the St. Moritz Bad district beside the lake. It has three indoor water slides and is open all year, which makes it the dependable choice when snow or rain cancels the mountain. Children under 6 enter free, and children aged 6 to 15 pay the child rate. Check the current prices and opening hours on ovaverva.ch before you go.
Sledding at Muottas Muragl
The public toboggan run at Muottas Muragl is about 4.2 km long, with 20 turns and a drop of about 715 m. A single run costs about CHF 43 for an adult, and a sled costs about CHF 20 to hire. The run is difficult, so it is not a good first sled for small children or complete beginners. Teenagers and adults who are confident on a sled enjoy it most. Allow time to ride the funicular up and to warm up at the top between runs.
Snow Night on Corvatsch
On Friday evenings from 4 December 2026 the Corvatsch piste is floodlit. An early-evening ticket for 19:00 to 21:00 costs CHF 20 for children aged 6 to 12 and CHF 28 for adults. The evening ticket costs CHF 23 for children and CHF 38 for adults. Tickets are sold at the Surlej valley station. It suits children who already ski with confidence on a long 4.2 km piste.
Horse-drawn carriage in Val Roseg
A horse-drawn carriage service runs into Val Roseg from Pontresina. Ask the operator for current prices and times when you plan the day.
Morteratsch trail
The trail from Morteratsch station toward the glacier is free and suits children who can walk a few kilometres. Keep children behind the warning ropes and out of the ice cave.
