Seville Attraction Tours: Roofs and Rooms
Seville’s best guided visits happen above and behind the usual route: on the Cathedral roof, inside the Alcázar’s royal bedrooms and on a walkway over the rooftops.
Cathedral roof tour
The official guided roof tour crosses the stone terraces and buttresses of the Gothic cathedral. It costs €20 online or €21 at the office, plus a €1 online fee, and lasts around 90 minutes. Book through catedraldesevilla.es , where a standard ticket is €13 online. An audioguide costs €5.
Alcázar upper rooms
The Cuarto Real Alto is the upper royal residence, visited on a timed, audio-guided slot for a €5.50 add-on to the main ticket. Security is separate and photography is not allowed. Add it when you reserve your general ticket (about €15.50) on alcazarsevilla.org , since slots are limited.
Setas mirador
The Metropol Parasol is a set of giant timber parasols on Plaza de la Encarnación, designed by Jürgen Mayer and finished in 2011. A 250 m walkway runs about 28 m above the square, and an audio guide plays through a QR code on your own phone. Tickets start from €16 and include the Feeling Sevilla film. From April to October the Aurora show runs between 21:30 and 01:00, and the site opens 09:30 to 01:00. See setasdesevilla.com .
Bullring tour
The Real Maestranza bullring offers a 45-minute guided walk through the 18th-century arena, the chapel and the taurine museum. Check times on realmaestranza.com .
Palaces with their own guides
Casa de Pilatos blends Italian Renaissance and Mudéjar styles with extensive tilework. The ground floor costs €12 and the full palace €18. The Palacio de las Dueñas, once home to the Dukes of Alba, costs about €12 to €13 with an audio guide. Both sit a short walk from the Cathedral, and details are on fundacionmedinaceli.org and lasduenas.es .
Booking and bundles
The Alcázar and the Cathedral sell separately, each with its own timed quota, so there is no official joint ticket. Resellers do bundle them with a bus pass at a premium, around €48 for one version. To compare guided options with a guide in the group, search guided tours in Seville and read each description for what the ticket includes.
Free guided-style visits
The Archivo General de Indias, a UNESCO site housing the Spanish Empire’s original documents, is free year-round for individual visitors and needs only a bag check. The Cathedral also opens free on Sundays from 16:30 to 18:00 with an online reservation.
Read how these sit alongside other highlights on the sightseeing page . Tip: buy the roof tour and the Cuarto Real Alto for the same morning, since both are indoors or shaded and keep you out of the midday sun.
