Romantic Seville: Gardens, Baths, Flamenco
Orange trees, tiled fountains and a rooftop pool facing the Giralda: Seville is built for slow mornings and late nights for two.
Morning in the gardens
The Alcázar opens at 09:30, and the gardens are at their coolest and quietest then. General entry is about €15.50 and you reserve on alcazarsevilla.org . Afterwards walk to the Parque de María Luisa for shaded paths, rose beds and tiled fountains.
Candlelit baths
Aire Ancient Baths occupy a restored Mudéjar palace on Calle Aire 15. Candlelit pools step from warm to cold, and a rooftop thermal pool overlooks the Giralda. Sessions start from about €26 for 90 minutes and go up to €210, and appointments are required. Details are on beaire.com .
A quiet flamenco night
For two people, a small tablao feels more intimate than a large stage. Casa de la Memoria on Calle Cuna 6 starts from about €22. Tablao Flamenco Orillas de Triana on Calle Castilla 94 is from about €25. Larger venues run about €38 to €45, and shows with dinner cost €55 to €90. You can also compare flamenco shows before choosing.
Sunset
Three spots catch the light. The Setas walkway gives a view across the rooftops, with tickets from €16. The Isabel II bridge looks over Calle Betis in Triana at dusk. The riverside terrace at Muelle de Nueva York is a calm stop with a drink.
Dinner and the late hours
Kitchens rarely open before 20:00, so a table at 21:00 is normal. Share a few tapas in Santa Cruz or El Arenal and stay out after the heat has gone.
A simple couple’s day
Reserve the Alcázar for opening time, then take a long lunch between 13:30 and 16:00 while the heat peaks. The baths fit neatly into that gap, and by 19:30 you are ready for a walk along the river. Dinner can start at 21:00, and a late flamenco set follows. The old town is compact, so you can walk between every stop without a taxi.
Timing the trip
April brings the Feria de Abril, expected 13 to 18 April 2027, and March brings Semana Santa from 21 to 28 March 2027. Both are exciting and crowded. For calmer evenings, aim for the weeks between them or for autumn. Summer alerts above 40C are common, so keep gardens for the morning.
Carriage rides
Horse carriages are a classic romantic idea. Heat is hard on the horses, and the city is moving to restrict them in extreme heat, so choose a cool evening or walk instead.
More couple-friendly ideas sit on the Seville sightseeing page . Tip: book the baths and the tablao for the same evening, with the baths first and the show at the end.
