French Polynesia 5-Day Travel Itinerary (Markdown Format)

Day 1: Tahiti & Papeete

• Arrival at Faa’a International Airport (TPA) - visa may not be required for many nationalities, check here before traveling.
• Transfer to your hotel in Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia. Spend the afternoon exploring the local market, Marae Arahurahu (Tahitian temple) and the Robert Wan Pearl Museum.
• In the evening, enjoy a traditional Polynesian dance show at a local restaurant like Le Vanille.

Day 2: Moorea Island

• Take an early morning ferry to Moorea Island from Papeete (ferries run multiple times daily).
• Spend the day exploring this stunning island with its breathtaking lagoon and towering mountains. Activities include:
  • 4x4 safari tour
  • Snorkeling at Tiahura Beach or Cook’s Bay
  • Visit the Belvedere Lookout for panoramic views of the island
• Overnight stay in Moorea.

Day 3: Bora Bora

• Transfer back to Papeete and take a flight to Bora Bora (flights are available throughout the day).
• Upon arrival, check-in at your overwater bungalow resort. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or exploring the island by jet-ski or catamaran.
• In the evening, enjoy a romantic dinner at your resort or at Bloody Mary’s Restaurant & Bar.

Day 4: Bora Bora Activities

• Take a guided lagoon tour to swim with sharks and rays.
• Visit the private island of Motu Tapu for a day of relaxation, snorkeling, and Polynesian activities like coconut opening demonstrations and tattoo painting.
• Optional: Book a 4x4 safari tour to explore the inner island.

Day 5: Return to Papeete & Departure

• Spend your final day shopping for souvenirs in Bora Bora before returning to Papeete by plane.
• If time allows, visit the Pierre Loti Cafe for a panoramic view of Papeete before heading to Faa’a International Airport for your departure.
