Fiji 7 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)
Seven days is the first version of this route with room for Suva, and only because day 7 uses a 30 to 45 minute Fiji Airways hop instead of the 3.5 to 4 hour Queens Road drive. It builds directly on the 6 day plan , adding a genuine capital day rather than pretending Suva sits next door to the beach coast.
Book these before you go: a Suva hotel room for the one-night add-on, the Sabeto hot springs and mud pool , the Coral Coast kava and Natadola combo tour , and the Mamanuca Islands Explorer day cruise .
Day 1: Nadi and the Sabeto mud pools
Land at Nadi International Airport (NAN), not Suva’s Nausori. Taxi to Nadi town, roughly FJD15-20; to Port Denarau, FJD30-45 or a shuttle around FJD13 per person. Spend the afternoon at the Sabeto hot springs and mud pool (FJD10 to look, FJD20 for the mud bath and springs, cash-only in practice) and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant (FJD20 adult, 9am to 5pm).
Day 2: A Mamanuca day cruise

Day 3: The Coral Coast on the Queens Road
Drive the Queens Road toward the Coral Coast: the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park (FJD10 adult, guided walks FJD50-100, open 8am to 4:30pm) and the Coral Coast kava ceremony and Natadola Beach combo tour, the one stretch of this lagoon with genuinely deep, swimmable sand.
Day 4: Transfer out to the Mamanucas
Take the Yasawa Flyer or a resort transfer boat from Port Denarau, 15 to 45 minutes to a Mamanuca resort, using South Sea Cruises’ resort transfers or the resort’s own boat.
Day 5: Onward to the Yasawas
Continue north on the Yasawa Flyer, 2 to 8 hours depending how far up the chain your resort sits, the vessel calling at multiple islands en route. The exact one-way fare shifts by destination and fuel surcharges, so confirm current pricing directly with the operator before you leave the Mamanucas.
Day 6: A day in the Yasawas, then back to Nadi
Spend the day near the Blue Lagoon area or, if your resort runs it, at the Sawa-i-Lau caves, a two-chamber limestone system with a swimmable pool. Catch the Flyer’s return run to Denarau, then a Nadi hotel for the night to stage for tomorrow’s flight.
Day 7: Suva, by air, then home
Fly Fiji Airways or Fiji Link from Nadi to Nausori, a 30 to 45 minute hop, roughly 35 flights a week on this route with fares from around FJD98 one-way on advance purchase; check fijiairways.com for the current schedule. Spend the day on the Fiji Museum in Thurston Gardens (FJD10 local, FJD20 overseas visitor), the Suva Municipal Market on Usher Street, and Colo-i-Suva Forest Park if there is time (FJD5 adult entry). Fly back to Nadi in the evening for your international departure; Suva gets close to double Nadi’s rainfall, so pack for it regardless of what the forecast on the beach side shows.
Getting around and money
Fiji drives on the left. The currency is the Fijian dollar (FJD), and VAT sits at 12.5% since August 2025, usually already in the quoted price.
Seven days is the shortest honest version of this trip that covers Nadi, both island groups, the Coral Coast, and Suva. Add more time to any single leg before you add a new one.
