England 4 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)
Four days adds a Cambridge day to the Windsor, Warner Bros and Bath-Stonehenge core from our 3-day version. Cambridge and Oxford are kept on separate days on purpose, the trip between them alone runs about two and a half hours. Extend it with our 5-day version once Oxford fits your trip.
Book these before you go:

Day 1: Windsor Castle
Paddington to Slough then the branch line into Windsor & Eton Central runs 22-28 minutes; direct Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside takes about 55 minutes. Book Windsor Castle entry or via rct.uk , GBP 32 advance versus GBP 36 on the day, and check the specific week for state-visit closures.
Day 2: Warner Bros Studio Tour
No walk-up ticket exists for the Studio Tour , entry alone starts at GBP 58.50. Euston to Watford Junction (about 20 minutes) then the GBP 3 station shuttle is the budget route; the direct coach from central London runs closer to GBP 44 for the same last leg. Book this date first, peak slots go weeks ahead.
Day 3: Stonehenge and Bath
Stonehenge has no train station, most car-free visitors take a combined coach tour or train to Salisbury plus a connecting shuttle bus. Standard admission through english-heritage.org.uk runs GBP 27.20 and keeps you at a roped perimeter. Bath Spa is 1 hour 15 direct from Paddington, and the Roman Baths run from roughly GBP 20 on dynamic pricing.
Day 4: Cambridge
Is Cambridge an easier single day than Oxford?
Yes. Cambridge is 45-49 minutes direct from King’s Cross with trains every 6-10 minutes, and King’s College Chapel has one clear entry price, from GBP 16.50 weekdays (GBP 17.50 weekends, with an early-bird discount for booking the week before). Oxford’s colleges each charge their own separate fees on their own hours, which makes Cambridge the steadier plan when you only get one shot at it. Add a shared punt on the River Cam , roughly GBP 12-20 per person, and lunch, and the day fills itself without rushing.

Contactless cards and phones cover every London-leg fare here identically to an Oyster card. The Warner Bros Studio Tour remains the only sight in this itinerary with zero walk-up option; Windsor, the Bath-Stonehenge coach and Cambridge’s chapel ticket can all be booked closer to the date in a pinch, though earlier is cheaper across the board. Pack for rain in any season and bring shoes that handle cobblestones at Windsor and Stonehenge’s gravel paths equally well.
