England 3 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)

Day 1: Windsor Castle
Paddington to Slough then the branch line into Windsor & Eton Central runs 22-28 minutes; direct Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside takes about 55 minutes. Book Windsor Castle entry through GetYourGuide or directly via rct.uk , GBP 32 advance versus GBP 36 on the day. It’s a working royal residence, so check the specific week for closures before you lock in a date.
Day 2: Warner Bros Studio Tour
No walk-up ticket exists for the Studio Tour , entry alone starts at GBP 58.50. The budget route is Euston to Watford Junction (about 20 minutes) then the station shuttle, GBP 3 return, roughly every 30 minutes; the direct Golden Tours coach from central London runs closer to GBP 44 round trip for the same leg. Book this date before anything else in the trip, peak slots go weeks ahead.
Day 3: Stonehenge and Bath
Can you really do Stonehenge and Bath in one day without a car?
Yes, but budget the whole day for it. Stonehenge has no train station, so most car-free visitors take a combined coach tour from London, or train to Salisbury plus a connecting shuttle bus. Standard admission through english-heritage.org.uk runs GBP 27.20 and keeps you at a roped perimeter, not up against the stones. Bath Spa itself is 1 hour 15 direct from Paddington, and the Roman Baths run from roughly GBP 20 on dynamic, time-slotted pricing.
Between the two, Bath is the one that deserves more time. If a future trip allows it, an overnight in Bath beats a rushed same-day return, the Georgian streets and the thermal-spa history reward a slower pace than a coach schedule gives you.

Contactless cards and phones work identically to an Oyster card on every London leg here, same fares, same cap, so skip buying a physical card just for this trip. The Warner Bros Studio Tour is the only sight across these three days with zero walk-up option, everything else (Windsor, the Bath-Stonehenge coach) can, in a pinch, be booked closer to the date, though earlier is always cheaper. Pack for rain regardless of season and wear shoes that can handle cobblestones and gravel paths at both Windsor and Stonehenge.
