What to Do in Warsaw Beyond Old Town
Warsaw rewards a plan that mixes altitude, water, and food, not just a checklist of monuments. The city sits flat along the Vistula, so a morning on a viewing deck, an afternoon on the river, and an evening in a converted factory hall all fit into one loop without much backtracking.
The 30th-floor view
The Palace of Culture and Science on Plac Defilad has a public observation deck 114 meters up, open daily 10:00-20:00, extending to 22:00 or 23:30 on summer Friday and Saturday nights. The Neon Museum in Soho Factory, ul. Hala Koszyki on ul. Koszykowa and Fabryka Norblina on ul. Żelazna are both restored early-20th-century industrial halls now running as food and craft markets, useful for a meal after a day on foot.
