Krakow Attraction Tours: Book Direct

There is no Kraków combination ticket. No combined Wieliczka product, no Wawel-plus-Cathedral bundle, and the city card excludes both. Every attraction here is bought from its own operator, and three of the best ones cannot be bought in advance at all. Work out which channel each thing uses and you will pay the lowest price available on every one of them.

Wieliczka is the one tour you cannot do without a guide
Both underground routes are guided by rule. The Tourist Route is about 3.5 km on foot to roughly 135 m, around 800 steps, a constant 17 to 18°C, two to three hours, ending at the rock-salt St Kinga’s Chapel. The Miners’ Route swaps that for overalls, tools and a higher minimum age.
The price is a ladder rather than a figure: route, language, concession and season all move it, and the official line is “from 93 zł per person”. A Polish-language departure costs less than an English one, which is the single cheapest lever on the whole trip if anyone in your group speaks Polish. Slots go three to five days ahead in season. The best-value guided attraction is under a school
Podziemna Nowa Huta costs 18 PLN, or 14 reduced and 36 for a family, and is free on Tuesdays. It is a genuine Cold War shelter beneath a working school at os. Szkolne 37, entered through the school’s main door, exhibited as “Underground Nowa Huta: State of Danger”. Trams 4, 10 and 22 get there in about half an hour on one standard single ticket.
Above it, Crazy Guides runs Trabants and Soviet Ladas through the district, with a 3.5 hour Deluxe at 179 PLN taking in the abandoned steelworks and a pierogi lunch. That is ten times the bunker’s price for a genuinely different thing, so treat them as two separate decisions rather than alternatives.
Are Florian Gate and the Barbican one ticket?
No. They are separate Museum of Kraków branches at 22 / 16 PLN each, family 44, and the surviving stretch of city wall on ul. Pijarska with its three towers is a third. The one bundle that does exist is a “Medieval Kraków” route ticket at 64 / 56 PLN covering the Barbican, the City Defence Walls and Celestat. Both the Barbican and the gate are free to photograph from outside all year.
The Barbican’s season is genuinely unsettled: the museum’s own page lists Tuesday to Sunday 10:30 to 18:00 with no seasonal note, while 2026 listings and secondary guides disagree with each other. Check muzeumkrakowa.pl for the day you plan to go rather than trusting a printed season.
Schindler’s Factory is in Podgorze and needs your passport
The factory is at ul. Lipowa 4 in Zabłocie, across the Vistula on the Podgórze bank, about twenty minutes on foot from Kazimierz over the Bernatek footbridge. Its permanent exhibition is “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939 to 1945”, which covers daily life under the occupation as well as Oskar Schindler, who saved close to 1,200 of his Jewish workers.
Tickets are 60 / 45 PLN, family 120, with an English guided tour at 90 PLN. Every visitor has to bring original photo identification, with no exceptions. Online sales open 90 days ahead and stop six hours before the slot. It opens Monday 10:00 to 15:00 and Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 20:00, closed the first Tuesday of each month, and Monday is the free day with box-office sales only.
Tyniec Abbey is 7 zloty and three different journeys
The abbey sits on a bluff over the river 12 km south-west. The outer courtyard is free, 6:00 to 22:00. Interiors and the museum are 7 PLN adult or 5 concession, a joint ticket 8, a family 25 and a guided tour 6, with tours Monday to Saturday at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:00 and Sundays at 14:00 and 15:00. Get there by bus 112 from Rondo Grunwaldzkie in about 25 minutes, by the riverside cycle path in under an hour, or on the five-hour Vistula cruise from the Wawel pier. Details on krakow.travel .
Krakus Mound sits in Podgorze, up a climb
The mound stands on Lasota Hill on the south bank, and it is the oldest of Kraków’s four ceremonial mounds, dated to roughly the 7th century and tied to the legendary prince Krak. Free, unstaffed and a proper view. Give it its own half-hour on the Podgórze side rather than squeezing it between the Rynek and Wawel, because it is a tram ride from both.
Auschwitz-Birkenau goes through the Memorial
Auschwitz Birkenau German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp (1940 to 1945) is about 65 to 70 km west of Kraków, a full day on its own.
All entry is booked online at visit.auschwitz.org . On-site sales ended on 1 March 2026 and nothing is sold at the gate. Admission to the grounds is free and what is paid for is a guide-educator: 150 PLN, or 140 reduced, for the 3.5 hour general tour, and 190 / 170 for the six-hour study tour, with Polish-language departures 10 to 20 PLN cheaper. Entry without a guide is possible only after a cutoff that shifts each month, 13:00 in December through to 17:00 between April and September; a free pass must be reserved at least seven days ahead and covers a maximum of ten people. Passes are personalised and non-refundable, and the visitor regulations changed on 1 July 2026.
The four tickets that run out
The combined Wawel castle route, the Rynek Underground, Schindler’s Factory and the Czartoryski Museum are all timed entry and all go in season. Book those four and improvise the rest. Anyone selling a skip-the-line ticket on the pavement outside any of them is not an official channel, and every real one is named above.
