Quebec City Attractions and Guided Visits
Quebec City packs several paid indoor and guided attractions into the walled Upper Town and its edges. All prices here are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and come from 2026 rate pages, so confirm the current figure before you buy. Several places sell by guided visit only, which affects when you can turn up.
La Citadelle de Québec
The Citadelle at 1 côte de la Citadelle is an active military base, so visits are guided only. The outdoor tour lasts about 60 minutes, and entry to the Royal 22e Régiment Museum is included. The 2026 general admission was 22 CAD for adults, 20 for seniors and students aged 18 and over, 8 for youth aged 11 to 17, free for children 10 and under, and 50 for a family of up to two adults and three under-18s. Hours were 9:00 to 17:30 from 16 May to 31 August 2026, then 10:00 to 17:30 from 1 September 2026 to 21 May 2027.
The changing of the guard is part of admission and runs Wednesday to Sunday at 10:00, from late June to the end of August only. It is not daily and it is cancelled in rain. Details are on the Citadelle admission page .
Musée de la civilisation
The museum is at 85 rue Dalhousie in Lower Town. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, and it is closed on Mondays from September to June but open daily from 24 June to 6 September. Individual rates were 27 CAD for ages 35 to 64, 26 for 65 and over, 22 for ages 18 to 34, 10 for ages 12 to 17, 6 for ages 6 to 11 and free for 5 and under. A family ticket was 58. Group rates are lower, so do not use them for a single visit. See the museum’s rates page .
Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec
The MNBAQ is at 179 Grande Allée Ouest beside the Plains of Abraham. Adult admission is 25 CAD with tax included, 24 for seniors, 18 for ages 18 to 30, 8 for ages 13 to 17 and free for 12 and under. It is closed Mondays and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, with late hours on the first Wednesday of the month. The Espace Riopelle in the Michael Audain Pavilion opens on 22 October 2026. The Gérard-Morisset pavilion stays closed until spring 2027, and the Baillairgé pavilion is closed, so the museum is smaller than usual for now. Check the MNBAQ visitor page .
Morrin Centre and the Château Frontenac tour
The Morrin Centre at 44 chaussée des Écossais is a former 1812 prison that became a college and library. You can enter only on a guided tour of about one hour. The 2026 rates, tax included, were 18.50 CAD general, 16.50 for seniors, students and ages 9 to 17, and 53 for a family, and children 8 and under are free. Tour days are partial, with shorter hours midweek, so check the Morrin rates page before planning around it.
The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac runs a guided tour of about 50 minutes to an hour in French or English. It meets at the Au 1884 kiosk on Dufferin Terrace 15 minutes before the start, and you reserve with hotel staff. Ask the hotel for the current price, because no official figure is listed.
Parliament and Parks Canada tours
The Parliament Building offers free guided and self-guided visits. Bring photo ID if you are 16 or over, and reserve ahead. Listed hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 16:30 and Saturday 9:30 to 16:30, closed Sunday, and the National Assembly chamber is closed for renovation.
