Vancouver Attraction Costs: Capilano to MOA
Four attractions account for most of the ticket money visitors spend around Vancouver, and knowing the real price of each before you leave the hotel saves a surprise at the turnstile.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
This privately run park in North Vancouver charges roughly $75 to $80 CAD for an adult ticket booked online, with walk-up pricing at the gate running higher still. The fee covers the 137 meter suspension bridge, the Treetops Adventure walkways, and the Cliffwalk along the canyon face, plus a free shuttle from downtown. Ten minutes away, Lynn Canyon Park charges nothing at all for its own 1912 suspension bridge and rainforest trails, though its 30 Foot Pool has a documented history of cold-water drownings and cliff jumping there is illegal.
Grouse Mountain
The Skyride gondola runs $89 CAD for an adult round trip and delivers you to the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, currently home to one grizzly bear, Coola, along with the lumberjack show and Theatre in the Sky. Hikers tackling the Grouse Grind stairway climb it going up only; the trail’s downhill direction is closed by rule, so everyone rides the gondola down and pays the $20 CAD download fee ($10 for children under 12). Closure and reopening dates shift from year to year with the weather, so check the mountain’s own site before you plan around it.
Museum of Anthropology at UBC
MOA is open and unaffected by any past construction. Standard adult admission is $26 CAD, half-price after 5pm on Thursday evenings, and it closes only on Mondays between mid-October and mid-May, staying open every day the rest of the year. Its Great Hall holds Haida and Kwakwaka’wakw carvings including Bill Reid’s The Raven and the First Men.
Vancouver Aquarium
Inside Stanley Park, aquarium tickets run on dynamic pricing, typically landing between $40 and $55 CAD for an adult depending on the date. Rescued sea otters and a touch pool are usually the highlights for first-time visitors, and the aquarium’s marine mammal rescue mission gives the visit more purpose than a typical tank walk-through.
Ordering the day
Capilano and Grouse Mountain sit close enough together in North Vancouver to combine into one outing, while MOA and the aquarium both work better paired with a Stanley Park visit on the same side of downtown. Trying to fit all four into a single day is possible but tight; most visitors get more out of splitting them across two.
For a side-by-side comparison of these four with everything else on offer, see the full activities list . To bundle Capilano and Grouse Mountain into one outing, a combo tour on GetYourGuide usually includes transport between the two, and a private Vancouver day tour on Viator can string all four together in one booking.
