Monaco Attractions: Palace, Casino and Cars
The attractions worth a ticket in Monaco are close together, and several of them have guided or timed formats. This page covers what each one offers, what it costs in 2026 and which ones have a season or a booking rule.
Casino morning heritage visit
The casino opens its rooms to visitors from 10:00 to 13:00, with last entry at 12:15. The ticket is EUR 20 for adults and EUR 15 for ages 13 to 17, and children aged 6 to 12 go free. You download a guide to your own phone and walk the building at your pace. Relaxed dress is accepted, so shorts and trainers are fine in the morning. The strict dress code and the 18+ rule apply to the games rooms from 14:00. The casino’s entry page lists the current tiers.
Prince’s Palace State Apartments
The State Apartments are open by season, roughly spring to mid-October. The 2026 season ran 30 March to 15 October, and the 2027 dates had not been published when this page was written, so check the palace site before you plan around them. Adult tickets are EUR 13, students EUR 11 and ages 6 to 17 EUR 8, with under 6 free. Hours are 10:00 to 18:00, or to 19:00 in July and August. An audioguide comes in 11 languages. Guided visits are by reservation only through visites@palais.mc . The apartments close for Grand Prix weekend and can close without notice, because the palace is also a seat of government. The Changing of the Guard outside is free and starts at 11:55 daily.
Oceanographic Museum
Adults pay EUR 22.50 at the desk, students and ages 4 to 17 pay EUR 14, and under 4 go free. The online shop lists an adult ticket from about EUR 20.50. The Mediterranean Aquarium is closed for works with no reopening date, but the Shark Lagoon, Tropical Seas, Sea Turtle Odyssey and the rooftop terrace remain open. Combined adult tickets exist with the Prince’s Palace (EUR 31, while the palace is in season), the Cars Collection (EUR 33), the Jardin Exotique (EUR 33) and the Monaco Le Grand Tour bus (EUR 40).
Cars Collection
The collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco is at 54 route de la Piscine, Port Hercule, with about 100 cars. Tickets are EUR 10 for adults and EUR 5 for ages 6 to 17 and students, and children under 6 enter free. The visitor listing and the museum’s own page give different opening hours, so confirm them at mtcc.mc .
Jardin Exotique cave and Villa Paloma
The Observatory Cave at the Jardin Exotique is guided only. Tours leave hourly from 10:00, last 40 to 45 minutes and involve about 300 steps. A garden-plus-cave ticket is EUR 15.
Villa Paloma is the open site of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, at 56 boulevard du Jardin Exotique. Entry is EUR 6, free on Sundays and for under 26s. Guided visits run on Saturdays at 11:00 and Sundays at 15:00 for about 45 minutes, with a Thursday 12:30 tour in July and August. Villa Sauber is closed for works. See nmnm.mc for the current exhibition.
Bus and train tours
A tourist train and the Monaco Le Grand Tour hop-on hop-off bus both run loops of the principality. Their prices change by reseller, and reported fares for the bus are roughly EUR 22 to 30, so confirm the price when you book. The train has been listed at about EUR 12 for adults, with a circuit of 30 to 40 minutes.
Guided tours of the major sights can be compared on GetYourGuide .
