Travel advisory, as of October 2026: If you add Mount Bromo to a Malang trip, note that wildfires closed the national park several times between August and October 2026 and that the Malang-side Jemplang gate can close on short notice. Bromo is at volcano alert Level II and Semeru at Level III with large exclusion zones. Check the park’s official site (bromotenggersemeru.id ) and the volcano alert before booking.
