Aruba Attractions: Tickets and Hours
Paid and Free Attractions on Aruba
Most of Aruba’s visitor attractions are small places within a short drive of Oranjestad or the Palm Beach hotel strip. This page lists what each costs and how it works. Prices are in US dollars. Opening hours change, so confirm on the day you plan to go.
Atlantis Submarine
The Atlantis submarine tour leaves from the Atlantis store at Renaissance Marina in downtown Oranjestad. Guests check in at the pier, and there is no hotel pickup. The trip lasts about 1.5 hours and dives to roughly 130 feet. The minimum age is 4. Adult tickets cost about $99 and child tickets about $89 through resellers. Seats are limited, so reserve ahead in peak season through De Palm Tours . A semi-submarine called the Seaworld Explorer also runs from De Palm Tours for those who prefer to stay near the surface.
The Butterfly Farm
Found on J.E. Irausquin Boulevard in Palm Beach, the farm sells tickets at reception with no booking needed. Adults pay $19, seniors and students $16, children aged 4 to 17 pay $10, and under-4s are free. The price includes a guided tour. Doors open at about 8:30 and the last tour starts around 16:00. Ask at reception whether your ticket allows return visits during your stay.
Philip’s Animal Garden
This small zoo is at Alto Vista 116 in Noord. Adults pay $10, children aged 2 to 13 pay $5, and under-2s are free. It is open daily from about 9:00 to 18:00. Animals include macaws, cockatoos, flamingos, capuchin and howler monkeys, agoutis, armadillos, coatis and crocodiles. Hand-feeding happens only under staff supervision.
Donkey Sanctuary Aruba
The sanctuary is at Bringamosa 2-Z in Santa Cruz and cares for more than 130 donkeys. Entry is free and donations are welcome. Hours vary between weekdays and weekends, so check before you drive out. Feed donkeys only what the sanctuary hands out, and never ride them.
Aruba Aloe Museum, Factory and Store
At Pitastraat 115 in Hato, a free tour of about 25 minutes shows how aloe is grown and turned into skin products. There are no food tastings. Hours are roughly Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 16:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00, closed Sundays, but check ahead.
Aruba Ostrich Farm and Party Bus Nights
The Ostrich Farm at Matividiri 57 in Paradera charges adults somewhere between $12 and $17, so confirm the price when you book. For an evening out, Kukoo Kunuku runs a party bus bar-hop, listed from about $79 to $85, and night tours are for ages 18 and up.
Tips
Book anything with limited seats, such as the submarine, a day or two ahead. Bring cash for small admissions, and keep valuables out of parked cars.
