Landmark 81’s SkyView climbs past 380 meters across floors 79-81, but pricing is disputed across sources: roughly 300,000 VND for a standard adult ticket, rising to about 810,000 VND for some combo packages. Bitexco’s Saigon Skydeck, lower at 262 meters for around 240,000 VND, wins on a different measure entirely: its 50th and 52nd-floor rooftop bar gives a comparable view for a comparable price, plus a seat, rather than a rail to stand at with a crowd.
An evening walk, then Thao Dien
Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Walking Street both light up after dark, running from the Saigon Opera House to City Hall and the riverfront fountain, free at any hour and worth a slow hour before dinner. Across the river, Thao Dien’s riverside restaurants and craft cocktail bars run at a quieter register than District 1’s main strip, and make a natural place to close out the evening away from the tourist core.
The city’s official tourism site lists festival dates worth checking first, since the Nguyen Hue Flower Street around Tet turns the same walk into a crowded exhibition rather than a quiet one.
