Rotterdam Attractions and Tours
Rotterdam’s attractions with a guide, a boat or a ticket desk are concentrated along the Nieuwe Maas and in a few neighbourhoods. This page lists the ones with published prices and hours, so you can compare them. All prices are in euros.
Boat and harbour tours
Spido runs the Rotterdam Highlights and Harbour Tour, 75 minutes with an audio guide and catering on board. Adults pay €18.75 and children €10.55. Boats leave from the foot of the Erasmusbrug and run all year, and the exact times are on the sailing schedule at spido.nl . Spido also sells combination tickets with the Euromast and the Depot.
Splashtours runs a roughly one hour city tour on an amphibious bus that drives into the river. Boarding is at Parkhaven 9. Check the operator for current prices and days before you book. The bus is not wheelchair accessible.
The SS Rotterdam
The former ocean liner on Katendrecht has three tours every day between 10:00 and 17:00, listed at ssrotterdam.nl .
- Stoom & Chroom is the engine room tour, about 1 hour, adult €13.45 and child €8.50. Slots are booked on board and there is no wheelchair access.
- Uitwaaien & Zwaaien covers the decks, bow and bridge in about 1.5 hours at the same prices, at your own pace and with wheelchair access.
- Rotterdam Compleet is the full tour of about 2.5 hours at €17.00 adult and €10.50 child.
Towers, depots and cubes
The Euromast sells a general ticket from €17.50, or €13.50 online, and a complete experience with the rotating Euroscoop lift to 185 m at €19.00 online. The abseil is €73.50, age 16 and over, weekends only. Details are at euromast.nl .
The Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen needs an online time slot, and entry is priced in a range up to €20. A short guided walk-in tour is included when places are free. The main Boijmans museum next door is closed for renovation and expected to reopen around 2029 to 2030, so only the Depot is open.
The Kijk-Kubus show cube at Overblaak 70 is €3.50, open daily 10:00 to 18:00.
Brewery and food halls
Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim at Aelbrechtskolk 12 in Delfshaven is a city brewery. Tours are reported mainly for groups of about eight or more, so ask before you go. The Fenix Food Factory on Katendrecht is a food hall with a cheesemaker and a taproom.
Van Nelle Fabriek
The UNESCO-listed Van Nelle Fabriek, a 1920s factory by Brinkman and Van der Vlugt, can be seen from outside for free. Inside it is open by guided tour only, booked in advance through the organiser.
Tips
- Spido, SS Rotterdam and the Euromast sell combination offers, so ask which fits your day.
