N Seoul Tower and the love locks
Namsan Cable Car departs from Sopa-ro near Myeongdong Station Exit 3, a short walk to the Namsan Ormi outdoor elevator; round-trip fare runs around 17,000 won, though it’s worth confirming the exact figure at the ticket booth. The love lock terraces below the tower are covered in padlocks, sold on-site from 8,000 to 15,000 won or brought from home, and the 360-degree observatory deck 480 meters above sea level is 29,000 won adult. Seoul Sky at Lotte World Tower
Jamsil Station Exit 1 puts you at the base of the 555-meter, 123-story tower. The Sky Deck on floors 117 to 123 includes a glass-floor observatory 478 meters up, at 31,000 won entry; a separate outdoor Skybridge walk across the twin roofs at 541 meters, done in a climbing harness, runs spring through autumn for roughly 100,000 to 120,000 won and is a very different kind of date than the standard observatory ticket. Banpo Bridge fountain and the Tubester boats
Banpo Hangang Park, a 15-minute walk from Express Bus Terminal Station Exit 8-1, hosts the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, 1,140 meters of LED-lit water nozzles along the bridge, running shows daily from April to October only; free to watch from the riverbank steps. Nearby at Some Sevit, Tubester party boats, round tables and sun parasols for up to six people, rent for 35,000 won per 30 minutes or 55,000 won per hour, and bringing your own wine and snacks aboard for sunset is normal practice here.
Seongsu-dong, the afternoon before
Line 2’s Seongsu or Ttukseom stations put you in a former shoe-factory and metal-workshop district now filled with concept cafes and small galleries, including the Daelim Changgo warehouse space and the Dior Seongsu pavilion. It’s a slower, browsing kind of afternoon that sets up well for a sunset tower visit or the fountain shows later that evening.
Planning the night
Check the fountain schedule before committing to a specific evening, since it’s seasonal and does not run outside April to October, and confirm the cable car fare at the booth rather than relying on a listed price, since Namsan’s ticketing has shifted more than once in the past two years.
