Ask three people what Gardens by the Bay costs and you’ll get three different answers, because the honest one is “it depends which part.” That split, free garden versus paid conservatory, runs through most of Singapore’s big sights and is worth sorting out before you build a day around them.
What Costs Nothing
Merlion Park is unticketed and open 24 hours; there’s no gate to time your visit against. Inside Gardens by the Bay, the outdoor Supertree Grove, general garden access, and the nightly Garden Rhapsody light show are all free walk-up. The Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also free to enter as a whole.
What Actually Has a Price Tag
Gardens by the Bay’s Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories are a combo ticket, roughly SGD 46 for a tourist adult, and the OCBC Skyway above the Supertrees is a separate SGD 14. Inside the Botanic Gardens, the National Orchid Garden alone is SGD 15 for a foreign adult.
Marina Bay Sands SkyPark’s public admission runs SGD 32 to 39 depending on the day and where you book it, a real range rather than a single number, so confirm the total before you pay. The Singapore Flyer costs SGD 40 for an adult, open 10am to 10pm with last admission at 9:30pm. It opened in 2008 as the tallest observation wheel anywhere, a title Dubai’s Ain Dubai and the Las Vegas High Roller have both since taken; it’s still a good ride, just not the record holder it once was. National Gallery Singapore is SGD 20 standard, SGD 15 concession. ArtScience Museum starts at SGD 18, a single-exhibition ticket runs closer to SGD 28, and a SGD 99 Museum Ticket covers everything at once for anyone doing three or more galleries in a visit.
