Mamanuca Islands: What To Actually Do
Twenty islands, no roads connecting any of them, and every activity on this list starts with a boat ride. That single fact shapes almost everything else about a Mamanuca trip.
Spend a day at Cloud 9 or Seventh Heaven

Cloudbreak is a boat-only left-hand reef break holding waves from 2 to 20+ feet, for experienced-to-expert surfers only; even resort guests join a surf boat with a guide rather than paddling out from shore. Plenty of visitors go purely to watch from a boat positioned a safe distance off the break, which needs no surfing ability at all.
A lovo and meke evening
A weekly cultural feast at many resorts sees meat, root vegetables, and fish slow-cooked underground on hot river stones, served alongside a meke performance of warrior dances and choral harmonies.
