Skip the rooftop terrace and the fusion-cuisine fantasy some old write-up promised. Likuri Island doesn’t have restaurant rooftops; it has bures on the sand and a lagoon that does the work a wine list can’t.
The river cruise sets the tone for the whole stay. Gliding down the Tuva River at twilight, past mangrove banks and roosting birds, is a quieter and more romantic start than most couples expect from an island known for its fire dancers, and it happens before you’ve even checked into your bure.
Low tide opens up a proper beach walk.
