Las Vegas Sightseeing, Strip to Fremont
The Las Vegas Strip runs 4.2 miles from Mandalay Bay to the STRAT, and resort footprints are big enough that walking between two “neighboring” casinos regularly takes 15 to 25 minutes. Sightseeing here works best planned by landmark, not by wandering.
The Sphere
At 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, the Sphere’s exterior Exosphere display runs free 24/7, visible from the street and from upper floors of nearby resorts. Inside, the resident show is The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, running since August 28, 2025 and built to run indefinitely; about 75 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and up, tickets from roughly $118 depending on section and date. Check the current show calendar at thesphere.com before booking, since concert residencies periodically bump the film off the schedule.
Bellagio Fountains and Conservatory
The fountains dance on an 8.5-acre lake, free, weekdays 3pm to 7:30pm every 30 minutes and 8pm to midnight every 15 minutes, with earlier weekend starts. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, just past the lobby, is a free 14,000-square-foot atrium open 24/7 with 5 seasonal floral displays a year.
High Roller Observation Wheel
At 550 feet, the High Roller on the LINQ Promenade takes a 30-minute revolution in a climate-controlled cabin. Daytime tickets (before 5pm) start at $28 adult, evening and anytime from $40, and a 21-and-over Happy Half Hour open-bar cabin runs from about $67. High Roller tickets are bookable on Viator .
The STRAT SkyPod
At 1,149 feet, the SkyPod observation deck at 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd runs $27 to $28 for the deck alone, or $44 with one thrill ride added.
Fremont Street Experience
Downtown’s pedestrian mall runs a canopy light show, Viva Vision, overhead, free to watch. It’s a different, older Las Vegas than the Strip resorts, and pairs well with a stop at the Neon Museum’s outdoor Boneyard nearby, where daytime general admission is $25 and guided night tours are $35. South of Russell Rd at 5100 S Las Vegas Blvd, open 24/7 with a free parking lot in the median. Expect a 15 to 30 minute queue for a photo at sunset, the most popular time to visit.
