Frankfurt’s old town is not medieval. It was rebuilt between 2012 and 2018, opened to the public on 9 May 2018, and it is one of the most honest reconstructions in Europe precisely because the city admits it. The Kaiserdom next to it charges nothing to walk in, the tower behind it charges EUR 3, and the museum pass every blog recommends is an annual membership that makes no sense for a four day trip.
