Belgrade With Kids: Lake, Zoo and Science Children in Belgrade tend to remember two things: the alligator that has lived at the zoo since 1937, and a lake with its own pedal boats. Add a science playroom for wet days and you have a family trip that works without a long list of tickets. A day at Ada Ciganlija Ada Ciganlija is a former river island on the Sava, now a peninsula that holds an artificial lake about 8 km long.

Romantic Belgrade: Sunset, Fish and River Views The best couples’ hour in Belgrade comes just before dark, on the ramparts where the Sava slides into the Danube and the sky turns pink over a flat horizon.
