Singapore With Kids: What to Book
Singapore With Kids: What to Book
Two questions decide a family day in Singapore before anything else: which parks are actually worth the ticket, and which one costs nothing at all. Get those sorted and the rest of the planning is easy.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve
Six parks sit under one pass system here: Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Bird Paradise, Night Safari, Rainforest Wild Adventure, and Exploria. The Destination Pass runs SGD 88/60 for two attractions, SGD 118/90 for all six in a single day, or SGD 158/110 for six spread across five days. Rainforest Wild Adventure (renamed from Rainforest Wild Asia in May 2026) now covers two zones, and Exploria is a new indoor multimedia attraction that opened in March 2026, SGD 38 adult if bought standalone. The five-day pass is the better deal for anyone not trying to cram every park into one exhausting visit. Mandai’s own site has current tiers and hours.
Sentosa’s Headline Parks
Universal Studios Singapore is SGD 83 off-peak, SGD 86 peak. The Singapore Oceanarium, renamed from S.E.A. Aquarium and reopened roughly three times larger in July 2025, runs somewhere around SGD 43 to 50 depending on where you book, so treat that as a range rather than a fixed number until checkout. Neither is cheap, and if there are no children on the trip, both are honestly easy to skip. Search Universal Studios and Oceanarium tickets on GetYourGuide ; browse family day-pass options on Viator .
The Genuinely Free Option
Gardens by the Bay’s Children’s Garden is a one-hectare water-play and treehouse zone for kids 12 and under, with adults admitted only alongside a child. Open Thursday through Sunday and public holidays, 9am to 7pm, water play closing at 6:30pm. It costs nothing, and it’s a better use of a morning than another paid ticket if the kids just want to run around. Gardens by the Bay’s site confirms current hours.
A Layover Option
Jewel Changi’s Canopy Park adds mazes, a bouncing net, and topiary walks next to the free Rain Vortex, worth remembering if a long layover or an early flight puts you at Changi with restless kids and time to fill.
For the adult-leaning version of some of the same island, see sightseeing , which covers Gardens by the Bay’s paid conservatories and the Marina Bay skyline sights that don’t need a child in tow to enjoy.
Tip: Buy the Mandai pass online before you fly. The five-day tier especially benefits from planning which two or three parks go on which day rather than deciding at the gate with tired kids already in line.
