A 70 MAD figure for Bahia Palace still circulates online, and it’s simply out of date, which is as good a place as any to start correcting what a landmark day in Marrakech actually costs.
Bahia Palace, at its current price
100 MAD as an adult (50 MAD for children 7-13, free under 7), open 9am-5pm daily, for the palace’s carved-cedar ceilings and courtyards. Check current Bahia Palace tour options on Viator if the gate queue looks long.
The Koutoubia: exterior only
Non-Muslims cannot enter Marrakech’s largest mosque, and there’s no paid workaround, a rule that holds at nearly every working mosque in the country. The minaret and free surrounding gardens are still worth the stop, and the square around it is one of the better free photo spots in the city. For an actual interior, the Ben Youssef Madrasa is the real substitute: a former Quranic school, open daily 9am-7pm, 50 DH as a foreign adult.
Saadian Tombs
100 MAD, 9am-5pm, and small enough that queues form fast once a tour bus arrives; go at opening if you want room to see the tilework properly rather than shuffling through with a crowd.
The Majorelle Garden, and the domain that actually matters
Book only at tickets.jardinmajorelle.com , the venue’s own official portal. Garden entry alone runs 170 MAD, garden plus Berber Museum 230 MAD, the YSL Museum alone 140 MAD, all three combined 330 MAD. A near-identical domain missing the dot after “tickets” is not official and charges roughly two and a half times as much in euros.
Two quieter, lower-cost stops
Menara Gardens is free to wander, with a fee only for the pavilion interior, and both make an easy, low-cost pairing with any of the paid landmarks above. Le Jardin Secret, inside the medina, runs 100 MAD full price, 80 MAD under 25, plus 30 MAD for tower access.
Verdict: fix your Majorelle time slot as soon as your dates are set, since the online booking system is the real bottleneck, not a walk-up queue.
