Liverpool Attraction Tours and Stadiums
Liverpool’s organised attractions fall into a few groups: football stadiums, Beatles tours, a wartime bunker and a tower tour at Pier Head. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Most operators are cashless and sell timed slots online, so book ahead for weekends and school holidays.
Anfield Stadium Tour and Museum
The Liverpool FC tour costs GBP 26 for adults, GBP 21 for seniors and students, GBP 17 for children and GBP 77 for a family of four. The tour does not run on matchdays except through a separate matchday product, at about GBP 28. For heights, Anfield Abseil is GBP 46 for adults and GBP 39 for ages 10 to 17. Book through the club’s booking site.
Everton tours
Everton men play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, opened in 2025. Tours there are reported at about GBP 26 for adults, but confirm the price with the club. Goodison Park is now home to Everton Women and the academy. Its tours restarted in July 2026 on selected dates, at GBP 20 for adults, GBP 17 for over-65s and GBP 13 for under-16s. Under-4s are free.
National Trust Beatles homes
Mendips and 20 Forthlin Road, the childhood homes of Lennon and McCartney, can only be seen on a pre-booked National Trust minibus tour. It leaves from Liverpool South Parkway station or Speke Hall. A combined ticket is GBP 37 for adults and GBP 18.50 for children aged 5 to 17, and National Trust members pay GBP 13 and GBP 6.50. Prices rise in July and August, and roadworks near South Parkway can slow the trip, so leave extra time.
Magical Mystery Tour
The Magical Mystery Tour is a coach ride of about two hours from the Albert Dock that ends in Mathew Street. Tickets are sold through resellers at roughly GBP 22 for adults, so check the current price with the operator. Departures run most of the day.
Western Approaches Museum
The underground wartime command centre at Rumford Street (L2 8SZ) is a good wet-weather option. A day pass is GBP 16.50 for adults and GBP 1 for under-16s. It opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:00, and is cashless.
Royal Liver Building 360
A 70-minute guided tour takes in the 10th and 15th floors and a show in the clock tower. Book via the building’s own tour site. Adult prices through resellers sit around GBP 16 to GBP 18.50, and the minimum age is quoted differently in different places, so check before you book children.
Tips
- The Cavern Club is a pay-at-the-door venue and has no advance tickets for general admission.
- Casbah Coffee Club tours are not confirmed, so check before you travel.
- The Maritime and Slavery museums are closed for redevelopment until at least 2028.
