Antalya Multi-Day Trips and Overnight Stays
Trips that need two days or more
Several of the best-known places near Antalya are too far for a comfortable single day. This page covers where an overnight makes sense, how far each place is, and what to expect on arrival. Hotel demand also rises when the COP31 climate conference fills Antalya’s EXPO Center from 9 to 20 November 2026, so book early for those dates.
Kaş and Kekova (1 to 2 nights)
Kaş is about 185 to 190 km south-west of Antalya, and the drive takes 3 hours or more in each direction. Overnight in Kaş or at Üçağız, the nearest harbour to the Kekova islands. Kekova boat tours leave from both and typically stop at Kaleköy (Simena), Tersane Koyu and Hamidiye Koyu. You see the half-sunken ruins from the boat. Swimming, snorkelling and diving over the ruins are not allowed because the area is protected, and swim stops are at separate coves picked by the operator. Entry to the Simena site is €4 for foreign adults.
Pamukkale and Hierapolis (1 night)
Pamukkale is about 225 to 250 km north-west, roughly 3 to 4 hours each way. The white travertine terraces and the Hierapolis ruins share one ticket, at €30 for foreign adults. Tours from the city do it as a 12 to 15 hour day, but an overnight in Pamukkale village or Denizli lets you walk the terraces at the cooler ends of the day. Cleopatra’s Antique Pool is a separate ticket outside the MuseumPass, and its opening status and price should be confirmed beforehand.
Cappadocia (2 nights minimum)
Cappadocia is about 530 to 590 km away, an 8 to 9 hour drive, and overnight coaches take 9 to 10 hours. No direct flight between Antalya and the Cappadocia airports turned up, so a flight usually means a connection through Istanbul or Ankara. Plan two nights at least, and three if you want a relaxed pace. It is not a day trip in any form.
Olympos and Çıralı (1 to 2 nights)
Olympos is about 80 km south of Antalya. The valley holds the ruins (€10 for foreign adults), a pebble beach and a group of tree-house camps. Camp status changes between seasons, so confirm that your chosen camp is open for your dates. Yanartaş, the hillside gas flames, is reached by a climb of 30 to 45 minutes from Çıralı and is best at night with a torch. Nesting beaches such as Çıralı are closed to the public at night during turtle season (in 2026, 20:00 to 08:00 through September), but the Yanartaş hillside is not covered by that rule.
Myra and Demre (1 night, or as part of the Kaş trip)
Myra’s rock tombs and theatre cost €13, the Andriake museum €4 and the St Nicholas Museum €17 at the state tariff. Saint Nicholas was born at Patara, where the ruins cost €15, and served as bishop of Myra. Demre sits roughly on the road between Kaş and Olympos.
Lycian Way sections
The Lycian Way, a long-distance trail of about 540 km on the classic count, finishes near Geyikbayırı, about 25 km west of Antalya. Hikers take sections with a night in a village or camp. April to May and September to October are the comfortable seasons.
Using the MuseumPass
A MuseumPass The Mediterranean at €90 lasts 7 days and covers more than 40 sites, including Myra, Hierapolis and Termessos. Used across a multi-day loop, it can beat single tickets. See the attraction tours page for the sums.
