Montreal 6 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)
Heads up: some links here are affiliate links. Book or buy through them and we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only point you to things we would actually use.
Six days keeps our 5-day itinerary (Old Montreal through Griffintown) and adds a sixth day slower still: a proper visit to St Joseph’s Oratory and an evening in The Village. By this point you’re staying on the island by choice, not because the sights demand it, if that’s not what you’re after, our Montreal, Canada 6-day itinerary spends this same amount of time on Quebec City, Ottawa, and the Eastern Townships instead.

Afternoon: A slow return through Mount Royal’s wooded trails, no itinerary pressure, just the park.
Evening: The Village, the city’s LGBTQ+ neighborhood, is a pedestrian strip through summer, a good spot for a last relaxed dinner and a look at a Montreal neighborhood most first-timers skip.
Is 6 days enough for Montreal?
Six days is plenty, arguably more than the city strictly needs on its own. This itinerary is honest that day 6 is a slow-down day, not a new marquee sight, and if you’d rather spend a sixth day on Quebec City or Ottawa instead, our Montreal, Canada guide is built for exactly that trade.
