The situation remains ongoing after a July ceasefire collapse. Check the current US State Department or UK FCDO advisory before booking, and treat this as a plan for when it’s safe to travel.

Day 1: Manama City Core
Bahrain National Museum, then the Al Fateh Grand Mosque for a free guided tour outside Friday prayer times. Late afternoon in the Manama Souq, dinner in Block 338, Adliya.
Day 2: Bahrain Fort and Muharraq
Morning at Qal’at al-Bahrain and its on-site museum, afternoon in Muharraq for the Pearling Path and the dhow shipyard. Dinner on the Muharraq waterfront.
Day 3: Desert Day
A’ali’s Dilmun Burial Mounds and pottery workshops, then the Tree of Life at sunset. Note the Bahrain International Circuit nearby isn’t hosting the 2026 F1 Grand Prix, it relocated to Sepang, Malaysia.
Day 4: Al Areen and Saar
Al Areen Wildlife Park in the morning, a safari-style drive past Arabian oryx and cheetahs, then Saar’s compact Dilmun-era town in the afternoon.
Day 5: Hawar Islands
A full day is worth setting aside for this one: the Hawar Islands, a 16-island archipelago about 25km out by ferry, with Arabian oryx and sand gazelle on Hawar Island itself, sea turtles, dugongs, and reportedly the world’s largest Socotra cormorant breeding colony. Confirm the current ferry schedule before you commit the day.
Day 6: King Fahd Causeway and Departure
Drive out to the King Fahd Causeway’s Passport Island for its two 65-meter observation towers, then a slow final morning back in Manama, Beit Al Quran or a last pass through the souq, before your flight from Bahrain International Airport.
