Antalya 4 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)
Four days lets Antalya’s city-and-beach side breathe: a full day in Kaleici, a beach-and-waterfall day at Konyaalti, a harbour evening built around the Duden coastline, and a full Lara day for contrast. Same spine as the 3-day plan, extended rather than reinvented, and still no ancient-site day trips.

Day 1: Kaleici, the walled old town
Get an AntalyaKart at the airport and ride the Antray tram into the center (roughly 42 TRY with the card, about 40 minutes). Walk to Hadrian’s Gate at midday rather than sunset, when the light in the narrow lanes works better and the crowds are thinner. Continue past Yivli Minare, the 13th-century fluted minaret and city symbol, down to Hidirlik Tower at the harbour’s cliff edge for the best free coastal view in the district.
Lunch one street back from the harbour rather than on it, where the same meze plates run noticeably cheaper. Spend the afternoon in the bazaar lanes, where haggling is standard and the first quoted price always moves. Dinner at a meyhane-style restaurant inside the walls runs roughly 600-900 TRY per person ($13-19/€11-17).
Day 2: Konyaalti beach and the aquarium strip
Konyaalti is the roughly 7km pebble beach on the west side, mostly free public access, backed by the Akdeniz Boulevard strip of bars, cafes and the Antalya Aquarium. Spend the morning in the water and the early afternoon at the aquarium or the boulevard cafes if the midday sun gets uncomfortable; summer highs average around 34C, so this is exactly the kind of day to break into a swim and a shaded lunch rather than pushing through it. Dinner back in Kaleici or at one of the beachfront spots along Konyaalti itself.
Day 3: Duden waterfalls and a harbour sunset
Morning at the Duden waterfalls, keeping the two straight: Lower Duden, free and open 24 hours on the Lara-side coast road, drops straight off a cliff into the Mediterranean; Upper Duden, inland near Kepez, is paid (roughly 100 TRY entrance plus 100 TRY parking, about $2/€2 each, verify on-site) and lets you walk behind the cascade through a shallow cave. Seeing Lower Duden by boat is the better version of that sight than the clifftop park alone.
In the evening, book the sunset cruise (see above) from the Kaleici marina; confirm with the operator whether the route passes Lower Duden, since not every departure includes it. Dinner at a marina restaurant with yacht views afterward is worth the slightly inflated prices for one night of the trip.
Day 4: Lara beach, for contrast
Lara sits on the east side, sandy rather than pebble, roughly 5-10 minutes from the airport, and dominated by the all-inclusive resort strip running toward Kundu. Beach frontage here is mostly private and hotel-tied, a genuinely different feel from Konyaalti’s public boulevard. Spend the day here to see both sides of Antalya’s beach identity, then keep real time buffer before your flight; airport security queues lengthen noticeably during the June-through-September peak season.
Is 4 days too long for just the city and beaches?
Not if you actually use all four days rather than repeating the same beach twice. A full Kaleici day, a Konyaalti day, a Duden-and-harbour day and a Lara day each cover different ground; the only way 4 days feels long is skipping one of the four and padding the rest.
