Aarhus 5 Day Itinerary (No Tourist Traps)

Day 1: ARoS and the Old Centre
Morning: ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum and Your Rainbow Panorama, included in your museum admission.
Afternoon: Aarhus Cathedral, free, then the Latin Quarter’s oldest streets.
Evening: Dinner in the Latin Quarter, paid in DKK, not euros.
Day 2: Den Gamle By and the Grauballe Man
Morning: Den Gamle By’s roughly 75 real relocated buildings, go into the houses.
Afternoon: Moesgaard Museum for the Grauballe Man bog body.
Evening: Aarhus Ø waterfront, Dokk1 and the Isbjerget, free at sunset.
Day 3: Marselisborg and the Botanical Garden
Morning: Marselisborg’s park, deer park, and forest, free when the royals aren’t in residence.
Afternoon: Marselisborg’s beach, then the free Botanical Garden.
Evening: A relaxed, cheap dinner before two travel-heavy days ahead.
Day 4: Silkeborg and Himmelbjerget
Morning: Regional train to Silkeborg, roughly 45 minutes. Silkeborg Museum’s Tollund Man bog body and Museum Jorn’s COBRA collection.
Afternoon: Himmelbjerget, honestly a hill at about 147m, and the historic Hjejlen paddle steamer across the lakes to its base.
Evening: Back to Aarhus by train for a relaxed dinner.
Day 5: Legoland Billund
Morning: Legoland Billund, the original park, opened in 1968 next to the original LEGO factory. Miniland alone uses more than 25 million bricks.
Afternoon: A full day here is genuinely worth it, 45 acres and enough rides and Miniland detail to fill most of a day, especially traveling with kids.
Evening: Back to Aarhus, a low-key final dinner after a long day of rides and driving.
