The Capitolio’s interior costs real cash and keeps limited hours, but the plazas themselves are free every day, all day. Go early, before the heat and the tour groups both peak mid-morning.

Two days is enough to see Habana Vieja properly and get one real taste of Vedado, nothing more. Day 1 covers the four colonial plazas and a paladar dinner; Day 2 covers the Malecon, the Hotel Nacional grounds and a classic-car loop. Skip anything requiring a day trip out of the city; that math does not work in 48 hours.
