A coastal 4x4 route instead of a dune drive The Route Côtière R301 running southwest from Casablanca toward El Jadida and Oualidia supports full-day guided 4x4 trips that stop at remote fishing villages, climb the ramparts at Mazagan, and work through coastal dunes on the approach to Oualidia’s oyster beds.

“Casablanca-Settat” names an administrative region, not a city, and treating the two as the same thing is the single fastest way to plan a bad trip here, one that misses everything worthwhile outside the city limits.
