1. Explore Thimphu’s Cultural Sites
- Tashichho Dzong: A beautiful fortress that serves as the seat of the government. It houses several ministries, the King’s office, and the Central Monk Body.
- National Memorial Chorten: A striking white stupa built in 1974 to honor Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. It is also a popular place for locals to pray and circumambulate.
- Changangkha Lhakhang: One of the oldest temples in Thimphu, founded in the 13th century by Lama Phajo Drukgom Shigpo. The temple is dedicated to the protector deity Dorje Legpa and is a popular place for parents to get blessings for their children.

- Motithang Mini Zoo: Home to the national animal of Bhutan, the Takin, as well as other indigenous and exotic species.

3. Take in the Scenery at Kuensel Phodrang
Kuensel Phodrang is home to the world’s largest bronze Buddha statue and offers panoramic views of Thimphu valley. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful walk or a quiet moment of reflection.
4. Experience Bhutanese Cuisine
