馃寠 Urraca Lagoon (Laguna de la Urraca)

  • Location: Ruta 10 km al sudeste de la ciudad de Canel贸n.
  • Activities: Kayaking, SUP (Stand Up Paddle), Birdwatching, Picnics.
  • Tips: The best time to visit is during the spring and fall when the weather is milder. Bring your own equipment or rent it from local providers.

馃寠 Punta del Este Beaches

  • Location: Around 30 km east of Canel贸n city.
  • Activities: Swimming, Surfing, Windsurfing, Sailing, Jet-skiing.
  • Tips: Check the local surf reports before heading out to the beach. Many rental shops are available for water sports equipment.

馃寠 R铆o de la Plata (Silver River)

  • Location: The river borders Canel贸n city to the south.
  • Activities: Fishing, Boat tours, Birdwatching.
  • Tips: Fishing requires a license which can be obtained from local authorities. Boat tours usually offer sightseeing of the river and its wildlife.

馃寠 Carrasco National Park

  • Location: Approximately 12 km west of Canel贸n city.

No Water: San Jos茅 de Mayo - This city is located in the interior of Canelones department and does not have access to large bodies of water for recreational activities.
