A two-seater neon trishaw after dark, strung with LED lights and playing pop music at a volume neither of you asked for, sounds like the opposite of romantic. Timing matters more than the itinerary

The market crowds and street performers that make weekend evenings feel festive are simply absent Monday through Thursday, when Jonker Street is closed rather than merely quiet.
