Dubrovnik Attractions: Tickets and Passes
Dubrovnik Attraction Tickets, Priced and Compared
Paying twice is the classic mistake here. Fort Lovrijenac, the sea fortress outside Pile Gate, is included with the City Walls ticket, so a visitor who buys both separately has simply overpaid. The sums below show where each ticket stands.
The big four
City Walls. About €40 for adults in the main season, with a lower winter rate. The ticket allows one tour and no re-entry, and it includes Lovrijenac. The official Walls shop is where to confirm the price and buy.
Rector’s Palace. The cultural history museum costs €15 for adults and €8 for students. A ten-museum ticket is €20 for adults and €10 for students, valid for seven days from the first visit, and the full list sits on the Dubrovnik Museums site .
Cable car. Return is €30 for adults, one-way €17. Children aged 4 to 12 pay €8 return or €5 one-way, and under-4s travel free. The official timetable shows the season, which excludes December and January to March.
Lokrum. The reserve ticket is €30 for adults and includes the return boat. A combined Trsteno and Lokrum boat ticket exists at €42. See lokrum.hr for the sailing season, which pauses from mid-December to February.
The pass question
The Dubrovnik Pass is sold in 24-hour, 72-hour and 168-hour versions at about €40, €50 and €60. The 24-hour pass costs about the same as the Walls ticket alone, and the pass lists the Walls, Lovrijenac, museums and city buses among its inclusions. Read the inclusions at dubrovnikpass.com before buying, because partner lists and prices can change.
A rough rule: if the plan includes the Walls and two or more museums inside a day or two, the pass is worth pricing up. If the plan is Walls plus beach, buy the Walls ticket alone.
Guided tours
Game of Thrones and Old Town walking tours typically cost €25 to €38 per person, depending on the guide and group size. Operators change, so compare walking tours and look for licensed local guides.
Smaller stops
- The Franciscan Monastery cloister and its old pharmacy, founded in 1317, cost €6 for adults and €3 for children.
- Dubrovnik Aquarium sits inside Fort St John. Check price and opening days before going.
- The Red History Museum near Gruž port covers everyday life in socialist Yugoslavia.
Etiquette
Cover up in town. On-the-spot fines apply in the Old Town to people walking around shirtless or in swimwear.
Verdict

For most visitors, the Walls ticket plus one museum is the best value, and the pass only wins on a packed schedule. Go to the Walls at opening, when the ramparts are quieter.
