✨ Berlin Zoological Garden (Tiergarten Schönbrunn) 🐾
- One of Europe’s oldest zoos, boasting over 20,000 animals across 1,500 species. Highlights include the giant pandas, African elephants, and aquarium with a tropical rainforest habitat.

🦁 Africarium 🐘
- Part of the Berlin Zoological Garden, Africarium is a must for animal lovers. It offers an immersive experience with African wildlife including hippos, lions, and gorillas.
🐠 Aquarium Berlin 🐟
- Next door to the Zoologischer Garten and covered by the combined zoo-and-aquarium ticket, it runs three floors of tanks plus a crocodile hall and an insectarium under one roof.

- Note: Berlin’s two city-centre aquariums have both gone. The AquaDom burst in December 2022 and SEA LIFE Berlin shut for good in December 2024, so this is the one that remains.

- Berlin’s second and much larger zoo, out in Friedrichsfelde, built around a baroque palace and its grounds. Far quieter than the Zoologischer Garten and easier with a pushchair.
