Western Sahara 5-Day Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Dakhla (Boinger)

  • Arrival at Dakhla (BOG) airport. Visitors require a visa, which can be obtained upon arrival for many nationalities. Check the latest requirements before travel.
  • Check into your hotel and rest after the journey. In the afternoon, visit the local fish market and enjoy fresh seafood for dinner.
  • Activities: Explore the Dakhla Bay, kitesurfing or stand-up paddleboarding, bird watching at Oum-Laouali National Park.

Day 2: Dakhla to Oued Eddahab (Oualad Rhalh)

  • Arrive at Erg El Djedid, also known as the Grand Erg Oriental. Spend the night in a desert camp.

Day 4: Aousserd to Boujdour

  • Activities: Relax at the beach, explore the nearby oasis of Tifariti.

Day 5: Boujdour to Zouerat (Mauritania border), departure

  • Drive from Boujdour to the Mauritania border at Zouerat, approximately 3 hours by 4x4 vehicle.
