Wallis and Futuna Travel Itinerary (7 Days)

Day 1: Arrival and Mata-Utu Exploration

  • Arrival: Fly into Wallis International Airport (WLX) on Uvea Island. The main airport for the archipelago, it’s located in Mata-Utu, the capital.
  • Check-in: Find accommodation in Mata-Utu. Some options include Hotel des Aventuriers and La Pension de Famille.
  • Activities: Visit the Cathedral of Saint Peter Chanel, explore the local market, and walk along the beautiful shoreline.

Day 2: Uvea Island Discovery

  • Morning: Visit the traditional village of Hihifo, known for its wood carvings and tapa (cloth made from tree bark) making.
  • Afternoon: Relax on the stunning beaches of Alo, Lola, or Hahake. You can also swim in the freshwater pools at Taveka.

Day 3: Futuna Island Exploration (Alo and Sigave)
