Things to Know:

1. Georgian currency is the Georgian lari (GEL). Credit cards are widely accepted in larger establishments, but it’s always good to have some cash on hand.
2. Tbilisi has a humid subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters. Check weather forecasts before your visit.
3. English is spoken by many young Georgians in the cities, especially in tourist areas.
4. Taxis are readily available, but always agree on a price before getting in. Uber is also available in Tbilisi.
5. Georgia is famous for its wine, so don’t miss out on trying some local varieties!
