Tashkent, Uzbekistan: 6-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & City Orientation

Tips:

  • Uzbekistan uses the UZS (Som) as its currency. Credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and major shops, but it’s good to have some cash on hand.
  • The dress code is conservative; shorts, tank tops, and revealing clothing may not be appropriate.
  • English is fairly well spoken in Tashkent, but learning a few phrases in Uzbek will help you connect with locals.
  • Always negotiate taxi fares before getting into the vehicle to avoid misunderstandings.
