Tanzania 6 Day Itinerary
Title: 6-Day Adventure in Tanzania
Day 1: Arrival & Acclimatization - Arusha
- Location: Arusha City, Northern Tanzania
- Activities: Relax and acclimate after your flight. Visit the Maasai Heritage Museum or explore the vibrant local markets.
- Things to Know: Arusha is a gateway city for many Tanzanian safaris. Remember to adjust to the African timezone (GMT+3).
- Visa Requirements: Most nationalities require a tourist visa in advance. Check your country’s specific requirements before travel.
- Transportation: Taxis or airport transfers can be arranged from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to your accommodation in Arusha.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
- Location: Approx. 2 hours drive from Arusha
- Activities: Game drives in the wilderness, spotting elephants, lions, and various bird species
- Things to Know: Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a good pair of binoculars. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants.
- Transportation: A 4x4 safari vehicle with a guide will be arranged.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park & Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- Location: Approx. 2 hours drive from Tarangire, 1 hour to Ngorongoro
- Activities: Morning game drive in Lake Manyara, afternoon visit to the Ngorongoro Crater
- Things to Know: Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions and flamingos. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and is home to a vast variety of wildlife.
- Transportation: Continue with your safari vehicle from Day 2.
Day 4: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater
- Location: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- Activities: Game drives within the crater, exploring various ecosystems and wildlife
- Things to Know: A packed lunch will be provided as you spend the entire day inside the crater.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
- Location: Approx. 4 hours drive from Ngorongoro
- Activities: Two game drives, exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti
- Things to Know: The Serengeti is famous for its great wildebeest migration and diverse wildlife.
- Transportation: Continue with your safari vehicle from Day 3/4.
Day 6: Departure
- Location: Back to Arusha for your departure
- Activities: Last-minute shopping, farewell dinner at a local restaurant or rooftop cafe
- Things to Know: Remember to tip your guide and driver. Allow enough time for your journey back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home.

- Money: Tanzania uses the Tanzanian Shilling. Credit cards are accepted in most tourist areas, but it’s good to have cash on hand.
