Syria 2 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring Ancient Wonders and Vibrant Cities
Morning:
- Arrival at Damascus International Airport. Passport control and customs. (Be sure to check visa requirements before traveling, as Syria currently requires a visa for most travelers.)
 - Transfer to your hotel in the heart of Old Damascus to freshen up and have breakfast.

- Visit the Umayyad Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a stunning example of Islamic architecture.
 - Explore the old city of Damascus, wandering through the bustling souks (markets) selling spices, textiles, antiques, and silverware. Don’t forget to try some local delicacies!
 - Visit the National Museum of Damascus to learn about Syria’s rich history and archaeology.
 
Transportation:
- Taxis or a guided tour are convenient options for moving around Damascus.
 
Evening:
- Enjoy a traditional Syrian dinner at Al-Mezzeh Restaurant, known for its delicious mezze dishes.
 - Take a leisurely walk along the famous Hamidiyeh Souq, which comes to life in the evening.
 
Day 2: Ancient Ruins and Modern Marvels
Morning:

 - Drive to Palmyra (Tadmur) (~3 hours).
 
Activities:
- Explore the ancient city of Palmyra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at the grand ruins, including the Temple of Bel, the Arch of Triumph, and the Amphitheater.
