Sydney 6-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Circular Quay
- Accommodation: Rates Hotel Sydney (4-star), The Westin Sydney (5-star) or Airbnb for budget travelers.
- Activities: Visit the iconic Sydney Opera House and take a guided tour. Explore the Royal Botanic Garden, which borders the Opera House.
- Food & Drink: Lunch at Bennelong, dinner at China Doll or casual dinner at The Oyster Bar in The Rocks.
- Things to Know: Circular Quay is well connected by public transport (buses, trains, ferries).
Day 2: Bondi Beach & Surrounds
- Transport: Take a bus or train to Bondi Junction, then catch the 380 bus to Bondi Beach.
- Activities: Spend the morning sunbathing and swimming at Bondi Beach. Visit the Bondi Icebergs Pool in the afternoon. Stroll along the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk.
- Food & Drink: Lunch at North Bondi Fish or Bondi Beach Public Bar. Dinner at Coogee Pavilion or Bondi Hardware.
- Things to Know: Carry a water bottle, sunscreen, and hat. Wear appropriate swimming attire.
Day 3: Taronga Zoo & Luna Park
- Transport: Ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo Wharf. Bus or train to Luna Park.
- Activities: Spend the morning at Taronga Zoo, home to over 400 species. In the afternoon, enjoy the rides and attractions at Luna Park.
- Food & Drink: Lunch at Taronga Zoo Cafe or Luna Park Coney Island. Dinner at Dumplings’ Legend near Luna Park.
- Things to Know: Taronga Zoo offers a Sky Safari cable car ride with great city views. Luna Park has a range of ticket options.
Day 4: The Rocks & Darling Harbour
- Transport: Walk from your accommodation, or use public transport to reach these areas.
- Activities: Explore the historic area of The Rocks, visit the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA), and the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.
- Food & Drink: Lunch at Koi Dessert House in The Rocks or Aqua S in Darling Harbour. Dinner at Chin Chin in Surry Hills (short taxi ride from The Rocks).
- Things to Know: Check out the street performers and markets in The Rocks. Darling Harbour has a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Day 5: Manly Beach & Manly Sea Life Sanctuary
- Transport: Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Wharf.
- Activities: Spend the morning relaxing on Manly Beach. Visit the Manly Sea Life Sanctuary in the afternoon. Take a scenic walk along the Manly to Spit Bridge Walk.
- Food & Drink: Lunch at North Steyne Bistro or Manly Wharf Brewing Co. Dinner at Manly Fish Markets.
- Things to Know: The ferry ride offers stunning views of the Sydney Harbour. The Manly to Spit Bridge Walk is a beautiful 10km walk for those who prefer longer walks.
Day 6: Departure
- Transport: Taxi or Uber to the airport, depending on your flight time and luggage. Public transport can also be used but may require more planning.
